Phenobarbital is a barbiturate used for seizures or sedation in dogs, cats, and horses. As a federally controlled medication, electronically prescribed orders will require a verbal authorization, a DEA number is required, and a maximum of 5 refills within 6 months is permitted. Pet owners must provide a drivers license number, and an adult signature is required to receive the package.
