Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine with anticholinergic (drying) and sedative properties that is used to treat allergic reactions. Histamine is released by the body during several types of allergic reactions and — to a lesser extent — during some viral infections, such as the common cold. It may be used for other conditions as determined by your veterinarian.
Hydroxyzine is a generic medication, and therefore we may have different manufacturers at any given time. Tablets may vary in appearance. Most hydroxyzine tablets are not scored.
