Famotidine is used for the treatment of certain digestive disorders, such as ulcers. It functions to decrease the amount of stomach acid produced, and in some cases, preventing ulcers from forming. Famotidine may also be prescribed for inflammation of the stomach, esophagus, and for reflux. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your veterinarian.
